Today’s pickup is a 1939 Churchman “Kings of Speed” Jesse Owens, which I grabbed for just $20. Owens became a global icon at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, where he famously won four gold medals, defying Adolf Hitler’s propaganda. This Churchman issue was released only a few years later, capturing Owens in his prime. Nearly a century old, this card is an incredible piece of Olympic history and proof that vintage legends don’t have to be out of reach.
